Umm.. dunno how to start but yeah, its been a
really long time since i last blogged. So mind you its gonna be lengthy. Do
bear with me (around 10++ minutes?). I really appreciate your time! Fuh.. lets
do this.. hmm.. some of my friends may think that i will be blogging my heart
out bout my exam results (such good timing huh? LOL). Hmm.. i cant do it. Cos
honestly i feel really peaceful bout it, not one single regret or sadness (not
now i mean. well in the beginning maybe a bit of disappointment). U might think
that im crazy for being so steady or im just immune to it (failures) ady, but
no.. i dunno how to put this into words. Deep down in my heart there's just
this peace in me and the assurance that i can trust in it. I believe that God
has His plans for me and I trust that He will give me the best. It is this
simple faith that keeps me going. even in everything else that im doing. mmm...
Enough with that, lets move on!
...
Wait wait.. hmm.. i change my mind. i think im gonna talk bit bout it since people are asking me bout it. hehehe. so how am i taking it? im doing fine. i really thank God for the peace of mind and peace of heart. i know that everything is in control. not by me, but God. My world is not shattered into pieces. Everything is still in one piece. Just yesterday i went to bible study and the pastor was sharing. Listen, a sharing does not necessarily speaks to everyone the same way, because it is God working behind it, you can basically expect anything to happen! Haha! Its amazing how God's words works differently for everyone. For me, it says from Phi 4:5 "...The Lord is near." I know this portion of the Scripture means that the Lord is coming again soon. but it also means that the Lord my God is right there for me. He is NEAR me. and Paul added later on in Phi 4:9 "...And the God of peace will be with you." Wow.. enough for me to know that all is well. no worries, no sorrows. Only total dependence on God. and an unshakable faith, not in me, or my resources (my knowledge, my money, everything i have), but in God. so I shall not be broken down but i shall give my best and rejoice!
Ok. So yeah to my best bug, Chen Chin Chern, to the blur yet lovely bug, Alys and to big boss, CPQ and everyone else: Thanks for everything! Im fine here! My prayer is that all of you can fully utilise your holiday! Dont let it go to waste! You guys can check out my Fb album "Sem Breactivity" for some inspirations hahahaha! Spend time with your family, friends, loved ones and God! I still have more coming mind you! ITS PROJECT 'SEM BREACTIVITY'!
Now back to the main topic (Wow took so long to get here!). The very reason i start blogging again is because it is my calling to blog. Yeah. You got that right. I am like born to blog? hahaha! called to blog? sorta~ Like in the movie Step Up, those who are natural dancers are said to be 'BFABB-born from a boombox'. So im like 'born from a blogspot'? lol. Anyway i wasnt the type that will only want to focus on learning just one thing. I am more of the type that wants to learn and know everything. some called this kind of people all-rounders.. others call them multi-taskers? or octopi? or kepo ppl? or pat (8)? =.= Anyway, is it good? Well nothing wrong with learning and knowing more stuffs right? hehehe.
Sometimes ppl ask me why dont i serve God in other areas? My answer, well i do serve God in those areas mentioned but i wont overdo it and neglect what God is calling me to do. In other words, God's calling is my top priority.
In case you dunno, my calling is to teach and inspire or a more complicated word for it, exhortation. WOW! (LOL i just learned the word 'Exhortation') right? hehehe. i really dun think i can do it at first. but after the 1st time, there was the 2nd time, 3rd time and by the time i reached the 4th or 5th time, i was pretty sure of it and i began to understand how it works.
Definition of calling:
Calling calling... What is a calling? dial 017******* to call me? no no. it is not that simple. Quoting from About.com: "A calling is God's personal, individual invitation to carry out the unique task He has for you." Quoting from Sara (Go find out who she is if you duno!): "A calling is when God pulls you into something with special intention that is perfect for you, and the process of who you are to become and what He wants you to go through."
Well i still have much to learn and improve. Yet
i consider it a good start to know and do what God wants me to do - to exhort.
Practice makes perfect. God will guide you through. But keep in mind that being
on call doesnt mean that you cant do anything else and can only focus on your
calling only. Imagine if a wrestler only fights his whole life and a speaker
only speaks his whole life. That will be imba. You can do other stuffs
(including your job! no resigning pls~ lol). but you must also remember the calling
God has for you. Explore your God-given spiritual gifts, keep growing and
become the person God wants you to be. And you do the things God wants you to
do.
Approaching the end (not quite yet) of my blog post for today, it will be the relationship i see between what is happening in this world with the things that God wants me to know. There are really tonnes of things that God wants to show you. And if you ask me, its really never ending and God can never not surprise you! And we know some of the things through God's Words, which we read in the Bible, through pastors or any speakers, or anyone that God is sending to us. Today im not gonna focus on that. Instead we will go for the one other thing, that is through whatever is happening around us.
There are many things that happen around us...everyday. Some keeps repeating everyday until at one point we dont even any pay attention to it anymore. Some happen just once in our lifetime. Today im only gonna give 2 examples which i think should be enough, cos its quite something. hehehe.
GAMES! HAHAHAHAHA!
Now if you notice my recent Facebook posts, i was playing 2 PlayStationOne games - Legend of Legaia and Chrono Cross. It was part of my project "Sem Breactivity", which is a list of things for me to do during sem break. I've actually played these games when i was little (LOL you know how old is PSone right?) but i've never really caught the meaning behind it, like what the game is about and whatever is happening. All i did was press and fight and run and everything else. In fact i've already forgotten about these games. But right before the sem break begins, God just put these two games back into my memory. So I tot it will be fun to add them in my 'Sem Breactivity' list and just replay these childhood games. I played the two games through my pc, using an emulator for PSone called ePSXe. This emulator allows me to play PlayStation games through my pc.
I started off with Legend of Legaia, a role-playing game (RPG). This game's about the world being covered by the Mist, causing monsters called Seru that were once living in harmony with humans to turn evil. The evil Seru(s) attacked and killed humans. But there was still hope. All around the world in the game there were trees called Genesis trees, but they were all waiting to be revived. By reviving the Genesis trees, they will have the power to drive off the Mist and bring peace back to the world.
The awesome thing was when i was playing Legend of Legaia, there's this severe haze (the Mist?) issue in Singapore and Malaysia. Well the first thought that comes to me was the connection between the haze and the Mist thingy. Haha. Moving on, these kind of games usually take about one month to complete if you are playing moderately. But if you go on turbo mode (cause i wan a fruitful sem break), you can finish it within 2 weeks. hehehe. While playing i noticed that the characters that im controlling, 3 of them will have to pray to the Genesis trees in order to revive them. And while they were praying, they each felt something. From the narration of the game:
Vahn reached out gently for the Genesis Tree. He felt a
gentle warmth in the palm of his hand.
Noa reached out swiftly for the Genesis Tree. She felt a
quiet strength in the palm of her hand.
Gala reached out strongly for the Genesis Tree. He felt pure
joy in the palm of his hand.
Something to be reminded from here. Notice what
they felt. Prayer brings gentle warmth. Prayer brings quiet strength. And
prayer brings pure joy.
Then after the Genesis tre.... Genesis! it means origin... the very beginning.. God is the beginning and the end. (Rev 22:13). Haha. i will link all these up later. So after the Genesis tree has been revived, it will drive off the Mist. And a couple of days after I started playing Legend of Legaia, Joshua called me and told me that the prayers of Singaporeans have been answered. God has freed the country from the haze!
So to sum up everything i noticed from Legend of Legaia:
Prayer brings gentle warmth, quiet strength and pure joy. And by praying to God (represented by the Genesis tree), we moved His hands and the haze (represented by the Mist) is driven off. and that is exactly what has happened in the real world!
Next up is Chrono Cross! Woo hoo!
This game.. its kinda hard to explain to you guys about what i learned unless you played it. Well you can read through the plot summary of the game if you want. Otherwise you can just skip it.
The story of Chrono Cross begins with Serge, who must collect colorful scales on the beach for his girlfriend. The setting is El Nido, a tropical archipelago inhabited by ancient natives, mainland colonists, and beings called Demi-humans who are often prejudiced against. While meeting his girlfriend, Serge slips into an alternate dimension in which he drowned on the beach ten years prior. While searching for truth behind his supposed death, Serge meets the famous thief Kid, a teenage girl intent on finding the mysterious Frozen Flame. Serge joins her search, and they recruit help and infiltrate Viper Manor, rumored to host the artifact. Viper Manor is home to the Acacia Dragoons—the combative, affluent, and revered protectors of the island. While in the manor's library, a mysterious old man known as the prophet of time reveals that ten years before the present, the universe split into two dimensions—one in which Serge lived (Home world), and one in which he perished (Another world). The shadowy antagonist Lynx foils the break-in, poisoning Kid and causing the would-be thieves to flee.
Kid eventually recuperates, and Serge prepares to sojourn to Fort Dragonia, an ancient ruin left by Dragonians—a mysterious race gone extinct a hundred years before. There, the Acacia Dragoons intend to make a stand against an invading continental army of Porre. While preparing, Serge gains the ability to travel between the dimensions and secure further assistance and items—including the Water Dragon's breath, capable of freezing lava. He attempts to voyage by boat to the fort's shores, but is interrupted by the pirate Fargo. Initially imprisoned, Serge is freed when the ship comes under attack from ghosts. After earning Fargo's respect, Serge enters the fort and ascends to its highest floor. Through the use of a Dragonian artifact called the Dragon Tear, Lynx switches bodies with Serge. Unknowing of the switch, Kid confides in Lynx; he stabs her as the real Serge helplessly watches. Lynx boasts of his victory and banishes Serge to a strange realm called the Temporal Vortex. He takes Kid under his wing, brainwashing her to believe the real Serge is her enemy.
Serge escapes with help from Harle. Discovering that his new body prevents him from traveling across the dimensions, he is marooned in Home world. He sets out to regain his former body and learn more of the universal split ten years earlier. He speaks with his mother and recruits new members to his cause. Hearing that a Demi-human sage confined on a cruise ship may be able to help him, he journeys to the S.S. Zelbess. He gains the sage's favor, and is given an artifact that allows access to the Dead Sea, a mysterious body of water. While attempting to enter, he discovers the evil sword Masamune and must counter it with the holy sword Einlanzer. Once inside the Dead Sea, he finds a wasteland frozen in time, dotted with futuristic ruins. At the center, he locates a man named Miguel and presumably Home world's Frozen Flame. Charged with guarding the Dead Sea by an entity named FATE, Miguel unsuccessfully battles Serge. To prevent Serge from obtaining the Frozen Flame, FATE destroys the Dead Sea. Still in Lynx's body, Serge is rescued by a
Dragon, one of six mythical entities who inhabit El Nido.
Able to return to Another world, Serge finds the Acacia Dragoons in dire straits from Porre's invasion and rescues General Viper's daughter. After collecting six relics from the Dragons, he locates that dimension's Dragon Tear and travels to Fort Dragonia to initiate a ceremony to recreate his body. He succeeds after staving off Lynx at the base of the fortress. With the Dragon relics in tow, he enters the Sea of Eden, Another world's physical equivalent of the Dead Sea. He finds a temporal research facility called Chronopolis—inside are Lynx, Kid, and the Frozen Flame. Confronted by Serge, Lynx bonds with the entity FATE—the main computer of the facility—to defeat the boy in battle. He is unsuccessful, and with FATE's capitulation, the defense systems of Chronopolis fall. After uniting in air, the six Dragons fly over the facility and scoop up the Frozen Flame. Kid falls into a coma, and Harle bids the party goodbye to fly with the Dragons. The new villains soar to Terra Tower, a massive structure raised from the sea floor.
Serge regroups his party and tends to Kid, who remains comatose. Continuing his adventure, he obtains and cleanses the Masamune. He then uses the Dragon relics and shards of the Dragon Tears to create the mythic Element Chrono Cross. The spiritual power of the Masamune later allows him to lift Kid from her coma and prepare to assault Terra Tower. He outfits his boat with an anti-gravity device and travels to battle the Dragons. At Terra Tower, the prophet of time—revealed to be Belthasar from Chrono Trigger—visits him and imparts the boy's history. This information is later elaborated on by accompanied apparitions. Serge learns that the time research facility Chronopolis created El Nido thousands of years ago after a catastrophic experimental failure drew it to the past. The introduction of a temporally foreign object in history caused the planet to pull in a counterbalance from a different dimension. This was Dinopolis, a city of Dragonians—parallel universe descendants Chrono Trigger's Reptites. The institutions warred and Chronopolis subjugated the Dragonians. Humans captured their chief creation—the Dragon God, an entity capable of controlling nature.
Chronopolis divided this entity into six pieces and created an Elements system, which individuals could use for combat or trade. FATE terraformed an archipelago, erased the memories of most Chronopolis's staff, and sent them to inhabit and populate its new paradise. Chronopolis remained obscured from view by clouds and surrounded by poisonous reef. Thousands of years later, a panther demon attacked three-year old Serge. His father took him to find assistance at Marbule, but Serge's boat blew off course due to a raging magnetic storm caused by Schala. Schala—the princess of the Kingdom of Zeal—had long ago accidentally fallen to a place known as the Darkness Beyond Time and began merging with Lavos, the chief villain of Chrono Trigger. Schala's storm nullified Chronopolis's defenses and allowed Serge to contact the Frozen Flame. Approaching it healed Serge but corrupted his father. By touching the Flame, Serge was designated its Arbiter by a circuit in Chronopolis, simultaneously preventing FATE from using the artifact by extension. The Dragons were aware of this situation, creating a seventh Dragon under the storm's cover. This Dragon was Harle, who manipulated Lynx by serving as his accomplice.
After Serge returned home, FATE manipulated his father to try and kill the boy, which would release the lock on the Frozen Flame. His father drowned Serge and became Lynx. However, ten years after the event, the thief Kid—presumably on Belthasar's orders—went back in time to save Serge and split the dimensions. FATE, locked out of the Frozen Flame again, knew that Serge would one day cross to Another world and prepared to apprehend him. Lynx switched bodies with Serge to dupe the biological check of Chronopolis on the Frozen Flame. When Serge defeated FATE, the freed Dragons snatched the Frozen Flame and raised Terra Tower. Belthasar then reveals that these events were part of a plan he had orchestrated named Project Kid–and that its final purpose would soon be revealed. Serge continues to the top of Terra Tower and defeats the Dragon God.
Continuing to the beach where the split in dimensions had occurred, Serge finds three apparitions resembling the original team from Chrono Trigger. More of the game's history is revealed, such as the revelation that Belthasar planned the entire plot to empower Serge and free Schala from melding with Lavos. The resulting fused being—called the Time Devourer—would consume and destroy spacetime. Lucca explains that Kid is Schala's clone, sent to the modern age to take part in Project Kid. Crono entreats Serge to use the Chrono Cross to free Schala. Serge uses a Time Egg—given to him by Belthasar—to enter the Darkness Beyond Time and vanquish the Time Devourer. He separates Schala from Lavos and restores the dimensions to one. Thankful, Schala muses on evolution and the struggle of life and returns Serge to his home, noting that he will forget the entire adventure. She then seemingly records the experience in her diary, set upon a desk on which a wedding photo of Kid and Serge appears. She then embarks on a mysterious search for Serge as cut scenes depict her walking through a modern city. The ambiguous ending leaves the events of the characters' lives following the game up to interpretation.
So in short the game is about a guy named Serge being caught up between 2 worlds and his journey to discover them. I wont talk much bout this game cos you really need to play it in order to understand the meaning God has got to say through it. But of cos it may yet speak differently to you cos God is not just gonna work in the same way over and over again. The 2 worlds basically taught me about the relationship between the physical world and the spiritual world.
Referring to the tparents.org and adapting story of the game, i learned that: The physical world, which is known to human beings through their five physical senses (it was 'elements' in the game), is complemented by an invisible spiritual world. This is not a world of fantasy or imagination but a completely real environment for the human spirit. The spiritual world is a separate realm of existence, but it interfaces with the physical world. The reality of the spiritual world is hard to grasp. Its probably best understood by recognizing the reality of intangible forces in life.
Because humanity is presently distant from God, resulting in a dysfunctional relationship between the spiritual and physical parts of human beings, there are few people who are truly conscious of the spiritual world and how it operates. Yet it is the place where all humanity is destined to live for eternity after passing from the physical world, upon the death of the body..........
Yeah i'll stop here. So these are the main ones. There are many more but like i said it will be hard to explain if you dont play the game. So play the game and come find me and we'll talk bout it over a cup of coffee!
I think that's all for today. I still have another one but i'll share it with you in the coming post! I hope that you are inspired to be more sensitive physically and spiritually and will be able to see the relationship between what is happening in our world with what God wants to tell you. The 2 worlds are very much closely related, entwined. So see to it that you discover the awesome things God has in store for you everyday! Seek ye the kingdom of God! Have fun! Till we meet again! God bless!
Enough with that, lets move on!
...

God bless!
